Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[18F]fluoro-L-TIC(OH) is a fluorine-18 radiolabeled cyclic tyrosine analogue under preclinical development as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging radiotracer for solid tumors, particularly prostate cancer. It is designed to target amino acid transporters, specifically L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1), which are highly upregulated in various malignancies to support rapid tumor growth and metabolism. The radiotracer is synthesized via copper-mediated radiofluorination of organotin precursors.
